The Center for Creative Photography of Thrace at Sferikos 99.3

The chairman of the board of the Thrace Creative Photography Center, Dimosthenis Karageorgiou, spoke this morning on Sferikos 99.3 radio to journalist Giorgos Hondropoulos, presenting the Center's recent and upcoming activities.

As he mentioned, Alexandroupolis International Airport "Demokritos" will host the exhibition "Rodopi: A Mountain Range, Fifteen Photographers" by the Thrace Creative Photography Center.

The Arrivals and Departures areas are being transformed into an open gallery, where travelers and visitors can view images that showcase the Rhodope through its landscapes, castles, forests, villages, and, above all, its people.

Fifteen photographers capture a mountain range that is vibrant, multidimensional, and deeply connected to the cultural identity of Thrace, offering a visual welcome to the region.

At the same time, on December 27, the Thrace Creative Photography Center will present the photographic project "Ars Creatio" in the former Bank of Greece building. This is an artistic record of productive life in the prefecture of Evros, where fourteen photographers capture factories, workplaces, and people involved in production—images that often remain unseen.

The exhibition attempts to bridge the gap between industry and art, highlighting Evros not only as a landscape, but as a place of creation, toil, and collective effort.
