Opening of the photography exhibition, entitled "Images of Silk", in Alexandroupolis

The Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace, held on Friday 15 December 2023, the opening of the photography exhibition, entitled "Images of Silk", at the Exhibition Art Centre of the Prefecture of Evros in Alexandroupolis.

An exhibition that captures the unique journey from the mulberry tree to the silk fabric, which hides stories and moments that were uniquely captured through the photographic lens. Works of art, from another world - parallel to the one we experience. The Centre's photographers, using photography as a medium for creative expression, photographed silk. The photographic artistic result was printed on silk fabric. The photographs are on display, bringing the public into contact with a "double" work of art. The silk fabric is a 100% organically grown product and the images from the entire production process.

The creators - photographers: Nikos Andreadakis, Giannis Gkogkos, Christina Gkousiou, Ilias Grigoriadis, Georgia Dimitriou, Nikos Zoakis, Dimosthenis Karageorgiou, Michalis Boliakis, Giannis Boultadakis, Ilias Papadakis, Katerina Papapanagiotou, Gioula Patsi, Aneza Spanopoulou, Tzoulia Tsiridou.

The event was attended by a large number of people.

The photo exhibition "Images of Silk" is implemented with the financial support and the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the auspices of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Regional Unit of Evros.
