Photography exhibition "The Eye of the Road" in Alexandroupolis

The Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace and the Edirne Photographic Association invite you to the photography exhibition entitled "The Eye of the Road". The opening of the exhibition will take place on Saturday 20 January 2024 at 18:30 at the Historical Museum of Alexandroupolis.

As part of the cultural cooperation between the two photographic associations, the Centre for Creative Photography of Thrace is hosting the exhibition of the Photographic Association of Andrianople in Alexandroupolis.

Street photography or "snapshot" photography is a kind of artistic personal photography where the photographer's field of action is the street. Unique moments that last only a few seconds are captured through the lens of the camera. Moments of everyday life in public space, moments that would go unnoticed if the photographer did not choose to capture them, moments that the photographer always has the "eye of the street" wide open.

The forty images created by the twenty (20) Turkish photographers take the audience on a journey through the neighbourhoods and streets of Europe. The photographers participate: Bilge Kural, Cüneyt Varna, Dilek Nehir, Hacer Akıncı Kaya, Kaan Erbayraktar, Kubilay Kaya, Kübra Durmaz, Mehmet Pandurun, Mustafa Korkmaz, Neşe Cavlak, Nilay Unakıtan, Nilüfer Atsızlar, Remziye Sivri, Saadet Aydoğan, Sare Özlem Demir, Selva Atalan, Tuba Şenerler, Yaşar Akıncı, Yeşim Samankatibi, Nilgün Erman.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Saturday 20 January 2024 at 18:30 at the Historical Museum of Alexandroupolis. During the opening event, the memorandum of cooperation between the two photographic associations will be signed.

The duration of the photography exhibition will be 20-26 January 2024 and the hours will be 10:30 - 14:30 (except Sunday & Monday). Free entrance.
